About me:

I started playing music when I was about nine (9) years old (roughly 5th - 6th grade). My first instrument was a Yamaha acoustic guitar (6 string) that my parents bought for me. I took lessons for about a year at the elementary school (Home Gardens) that I attended. I still have it but, don't play it that often. When I was about eleven (11), my parents signed my brother up for accordion lessons and as soon as I had the chance, I pickup the accordion and started playing. My parents soon after, signed me up for lessons. I took lessons for six (6) years, which three (3) out of the six (6) years I was an instructor. When I turned 16, I remember playing the accordion for a "battle of the bands" concert at Knotts Berry Farm. One of the bands had a drummer and bass player. I remember listening to them and telling myself, the bass would be my next instrument, which today I'm still playing. After being in and out of bands through out the years (25+), I gained many influences which range from "Iron Maiden" (Steve Harris) heavy fast bass lines to "RUSH" (Geddy Lee) progressive style. The first band that I was in was an Iron Maiden cover band. I played in that band all through high School, playing parties (back in the day) on the weekends. After high school I join up with a couple of guys that were heavily into RUSH (hence the Rush influence). I played with them for a couple of years and ever since then I have been playing to RUSH as a practice schedule. Since moving to San Diego in '97, I had been out of the music scene for a good 2 - 3 years before hooking up with Jason (guitarist) and Paul (drummer). After the long struggles (about 4 years) of trying to find the right vocal's (vocalist) and melody style, we finally called it quits...
