Hey Mean Streaks, Brother Man Dude has become involved in the founding of an exciting and powerful venture which him and his associates are very keen to share with you.
It is a way of life known as The Old Order. The bretheren of The Old Order will appear publicly for the first time on SAT AUG 4 at the Tongue and Groove Cafe to a select few who respond to this exclusive invitation (entry is $5). Those invited will have an oppurtunity to learn the ways of The Old Order and reap the benefits of the secrets imparted.
Kieran Waters will be using his special skills to get the gathering warmed up and in the right frame of mind.
The Old Order makes use of the conventions of a 4 piece rock band. Their sound and approach hark back, not out of fondness but necessity, to a time long before the likes of myspace, the internet, mobile phones and even electric guitars to a time, well a time that is hard to pinpoint exactly………………..
Nevertheless the members of The Old Order bond in ancient rituals shrouded in secrecy and clouded by hearsay but involving strict observances, weekly gatherings and an undying loyalty to each other. Their cause is inspired by the music, philosophies and modus operandi of 20th Century cult rock bands such as Joy Division, Velvet Underground and The Modern Lovers.
Come along and be initiated into the ancient rites of The Old Order.
