Listening over and over to "Porch Song" I slowly realize that this is is not a song I hear every day on the radio,
But I should...it could.
This is an amazingly poignant and powerful song...it builds up just as effortlessly as Bowie's, "Heroes" it comes to hot boil finally, soft crescendo's and synthesizers remeniscent of old Velvet Underground's, "Venus in Furs"
This song is so fucking beautiful...it's perfect. It makes me believe I have heard it already, everywhere, a thousand or more times.
I am honored to be a part of your one corner of this Universe. Honored to be able to listen to your music every morning when I've decided it's worth it to get out of bed.
Or, finally, into bed.
And the song, the "Porch SOng?"
It's stuck inside of me...it hooks and the hooks remain sharp and lethal.

Hey, Shawn & Kevin from LA's Rock cover band 'Forever Vinyl' are hosting an Open Mike Night at Venice Bistro on Wednesdays April 16, 23, 30, 5:30-10pm. It's right on the Venice boardwalk and our 1st one is tonight, Wed April 16th. Why don't you and anyone other musicians you know come on down and play a few songs? You can do originals or covers and each musician will get 2-3 songs, unless we have time for more. We have PA, mikes, electric piano, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, and percussion. This is going to be a forum for musicians to play, give away/sell cd's and to network with other local musicians. This will be lots of fun. No cover. Contact me if you have any questions.
