Although their true identities remained for many years a closely guarded secret, no small thanks in part to the black hoods the trio has always worn, the outrageous, politically incorrect scumbag Porn-Core Rock band the MENTORS, Guitarist Sickie Wifebeater, Bassist Dr Heathen and Vocalist/ Drummer El Duce formed in Seattle during 1977. The Mentors relocated to Los Angeles during Spring 1979.
The Mentors debut release, the 'Trash Bag' EP was unveiled by Mystic Records in 1983. "Live At The Whiskey / Cathay De Grande" followed in 1984. The Classic Record 'You Axed For It', Was released by the Metal Blade offshoot Death Records in 1985. This outing quickly became notorious, hosting as it did the MENTORS infamous tune 'Four F Club' ("Find Her, Feel Her, Fuck Her, Forget Her") Signing to Death/Metal Blade Record label increased the MENTORS notoriety (or infamy, depending on how you view it) The 1985 Congress hearings orchestrated by Tipper Gore’s Parents Music Resource Center (PMRC) interest group which sought to censor nearly every pop, rock, and rap recording artist. The Mentors caught the attention of the PMRC with their song, “Golden Showers”, prompting a reading of some of its lyrics on the Congressional floor and inducing peals of uncontrolled laughter from those present.
The Mentors Death/Metal Blade Records “Up The Dose” was released in 1986 featuring the Classic songs “Heterosexuals have the Right to Rock and S.F.C.C..
The 1990 the MENTORS album, "Rock Bible", On Mentor Records.
Followed up by 1991's 'To The Max' featuring the Classic songs “Donkey Dick, & All Women are Insane” would prove to be the final release of the Original line up. For live shows the band employed Moosedick (Clark Savage) to take over on Drum’s due to El Duce’s habit of falling off the drum kit.
Both 'You Axed For It' and 'Up The Dose' were re-issued by German label High Vaultage during 1997. On 19th April the following year El Duce was killed in suspicious circumstances, being apparently hit by a train in a state of intoxication. In a quite bizarre turn of events, El Duce's death came just days after he had been interviewed in connection with an allegation he had been hired by COURTNEY LOVE to kill NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain.
The Mentors have carried on without Duce, with most of the group’s original lineup intact, still performing and recording. Sickie J joining the re-constituted MENTORS in 2001. New album recordings were commenced in Seattle during early 2004 but after just three days the studio ejected the band. Relocating to California the group resumed work with former producer Bill Metoyer. Mentors Prevailed to complete their new album "Over the Top" featuring the classic songs “Suck For Rent & Young Fresh Tight Sweet Stuff” in mid 2005. Now with new Vocalist Marc (Mad Dog) DeLeon continue to Rock the World to this very day with the 2009 release of “Ducefixon” featuring the soon to be classic songs “ I’m A Pervert & Stripper Polls” the legendary Mentors return with a new album which without any doubt, it’s the proof that they are in one of their best moments ever.
I'm going off only what I saw on the live interview on that internet TV show. What you're saying now is definitely different than what I saw on there, but what could you say with that faggot host right next to you anyway?
There once was a time in the land where the sun was worshiped as god and its embrace with the moon made the earth hold its breath as time stood still in silence, and at that hour the smothered sun shall cloak the whole world in the dead blackness of midnight giving birth to the Element Of Eclipse.
