................
We've done some very amateur recording in upstate New York in July of 2008, as well as in Brighton, England in December 2008. Most recently we recorded some more covers in upstate NY this past 4th of July weekend (2009). District Sleeps Alone features a slightly out of tune, ancient organaire that lives virtually untouched in our aunt's house. We also welcomed the addition of Tim's mandolin, but unfortunately did not get the opportunity to record anything with it. Soon to come, hopefully!
The exception is Bon Iver's "Skinny Love" which traveled back and forth from Tennessee to Connecticut after Melissa developed an unhealthy obsession with Bon Iver (Justin Vernon) and begged Tim for months to record the guitar/vocals and send it to her. Check out the originals of all these songs because they're all really good. Hence why we covered them :) Enjoy.
Originals to come...as soon as we figure out what our sound is, haha. At least you'll know who are major influences are.
