The Merry Sisters present an eclectic repertoire that features Traditional Celtic, Old-time, Mountain, Blues, and Folk with an edgy tribal flair. The 3 sisters (related by their love of music, desire to have tons o' fun, and attraction to men in kilts) are incredibly accomplished musicians. Kathy Dagg lays down a hypnotic rhythm with her arsenal of string instruments. Her rich alto transfixes the listener with haunting songs of murder, mayhem, loss and love. Shanda McDonald's fiddlin' removes negative ions from the ozone, such is the cosmic euphoria that it has been stated to emit, and the youngest sister, Gileigh McDonald's "most excellent" drumming and bass playing pulls everything together like cayenne in a spicy chicken salad.
