This is a special five-piece Scout Launch night for Control Yourself Records second major release, Scout. Rotating Leslie are headlining, and due to them cleverly selling out their last two singles in just under a week, we think this is a good idea.

Also playing this night are Waylaid, Plastic Passion, The Culprits, and Deco. All bands featured on the Scout record, all bands that can sell out a venue on their own, and all bands who, quite simply, will make you dance till you drop.

This Week At The Strange Place Club!
Hertford Marquee

Click The Flyers For Tickets !

Strange Place have brought Late Of The Pier and The Sound Explosion down to the Hertford Marquee for some awesome music.

Late Of The Pier describe their music as 'music to have asthma to' .. thats debatable, what isn't is that they want to be the most exciting band on the planet, and if the music they makes anything to go by, they very well might be one day in the future. The Sound Explosion (if you haven't heard them all over the radio already) sound like the offspring of a Jimi Hendrix-Jack White-Jon Spencer three-way, and boy does it sound good.

Also Supporting:

Flamboyant Bella- (check out their third song on their myspace, its awesome!)

My Passion- (a pretty fantastic way to start off a pretty fantastic night)

Hey Hey!!

If you missed us at Club Fandango then not to worry this is gonna be a proper treat. We is gonna play with The High Class Familly Butchers at What's cookin' this Saturday 12th May. Yeeeea ha we can't wait to play, this is one of the coolest nights around.

ITS A LITTLE BIT COUNTRY A LITTLE BIT ROCK'N'ROLL WITH THE BEST DRESSED LITTLE STAGE IN LONDON. What's Cookin' (Sat nights) - Downstairs at The Sheep Walk 692 High Road, Leytonstone London E11
Inspired by Alan Tyler's legendary Come Down And Meet The Folks, What's Cookin' is a jumpin' night dedicated to bringing you all that's good in americana, the new and the old country, bluegrass, rockabilly, cajun, western swing, garage, rock'n'roll, and a whole lot more besides.

Doors open 8.30pm, live stuff starts around 9.00pm-ish and finishes 11pm-ish - but we sometimes over-run a little bit, but hey, you can catch up on yer beauty sleep another night!

Come and see it's FREE

Love to you

It's not many bands that will simultaneously release a single in the UK and in Japan, but Operahouse aren't a band for tradition. Though they shamelessly love and wear the worst trainers around, they are not to be sniffed at, during their upcoming mini-tour they're supporting the likes of The Holloways, Fear Of Flying and Kid Harpoon.
Supporting are Tinsel Town , a band who make music that sounds as magical as their name, and The Singletons, a band who make music that sounds nothing like their name at all, but is brilliant all the same. First on is the acoustic wonder that is Christopher Wallis
