Tutto ha inizio nel dicembre del 2005, quando Livio (chitarra) e Gian (basso) cominciano a suonare insieme cover e pezzi loro nei Delirium Tremens, gruppo che andrà avanti per ben undici mesi, nonostante le incomprensioni e il caratteraccio di alcuni componenti (del gruppo).
Dopo un breve periodo di inattività, nel gennaio del 2007 prende vita un nuovo progetto, che vede Livio, Gian e le new entries Mary (synth) e Michele (batteria) coinvolti nel realizzare esclusivamente pezzi dei Verdena, suonando col nome di Starless. Dopo qualche esibizione, Michele, a causa di forze maggiori,abbandona il gruppo; ma il progetto resta in vita grazie all'aiuto di Emiliano, già batterista della tribute band dei Muse e di altri gruppi, progetto lasciato momentaneamente in sospeso. Nel frattempo Nello, amico degli Starless, comincia ad appassionarsi alla batteria. E così, nell'agosto del 2007, nascono i Miasma, ma solo a novembre entrerà a farne parte Carmen (voce), dopo la decisione di Livio di non cantare più.
In questo momento la band è in fase di composizione e registrazione, ma sta già iniziando a suonare in qualche locale in zona..

The Story of Miasma begins in December 2005, when Livio (guitar) and Gian (bass) start playing songs of their favourite bands together and some of their own stuff in their band Delirium Tremens. Due to circumstances you normally find in bands this lasted just 11 months. After a brief period of inactivity, in January 2007 they start a new project. Livio and Gian play with new members Mary (synth) and Michele (drums) in a Verdena Tribute band, “Starless”. (Starless is a name of a Verdena track found on their 2nd album “Solo un Grande Sasso”). Just a few gigs after starting the new project Michele has to leave the band, but thanks to Emilano the drummer in a Muse tribute, and many others, the project stays alive, if only for a while. In the meantime Nello, another friend of the band starts to find passion in the drums and in August 2007 he is named as the drummer, and the band decide to begin a new project ‘Miasma’. Not long after starting this new project Livio decided he didn’t want to sing anymore and the band decide that they needed a singer to complete the band. After searching for a few months Carmen was named singer of Miasma in November 2007. From this point forth the band starts to write and compose new material, whilst playing some local gigs.
