STYLE OF MUSIC: We play a style of music I call "Rockin' Country". I love country music as well as rock and roll. Both styles have influenced my life. I think our songs can be placed into many different genres such as traditional country, modern country, southern rock and classic rock. Hopefully some of the music doesn't fit into a specific genre.
HIGHLIGHTS: We have opened for country music legends Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Lacy J. Dalton, as well as nationally touring acts O.A.R., Rich Hardesty, and Michaelangelo. We have recorded with Hag Records (Merle Haggard's Record Label) and with Country Music Association's Jonell Polansky at DeCapo Music. We have also performed live on the WSM morning show with Bill Cody.
BACKGROUND: I grew up in small-town Indiana listening to my uncle's 80's rock band practice in my grandparents' basement; at the same time my mother was playing Kenny Rogers and Reba McIntire on the radio in the car. For some reason they both made sense. In high school I mostly listened to 80's and 90's rock, but while in college re-gained an appreciation for country music as well as falling in love with southern and classic rock.
WHAT EXCITES ME ABOUT MUSIC: my thrill comes from being on stage and drawing the energy from the crowd. I feel that music is about passion and emotion. My true emotions come out during live performances. I love being able to interact with an audience. I also dig when someone comes up to me and tells me how one of my songs effected their life in some small way. One of my friends and his girlfriend even have one of my songs as "their song". That's pretty awesome.
GOALS: to make and play music for the rest of my life... hopefully for a living. Also to be able to focus my energy on writing songs and traveling from town to town playing shows. Most importantly my goal is to always have FUN!
