Screaming, pulsing waves of electronic frequencies sliced through my every molecule for the sake of cultural experience. I'm not one to mince words, and Microwave Windows'
kicked the snot right out of anyone who didn't see it coming. The sonic onslaught began with textured analog synth manipulated through a table-full of junk processors and effects. The sound echoed off every corner of the irish bar and shook up the complacent crowd. The guitar pulsed repeating ooze out into the windy night and chimed with ecstasy as every face turned to delight or retching. All of a sudden, this hip old lady, drunk, at the bar starts yelling "It sounds like fucking Star Wars!" while textured samples of American dialogue began shitting out of the speakers. "Kill-Kill-Kill-K-Kill Iraq Iraq Kill Iraq" stumbled over the other sounds flowing throughout the room. Apparently, all of this cacophony caused the bartender to shit his pants. The frequencies removed the control of his bowels and he had no faculty over his normal excretive functions. He motioned to turn it down-and it was turned down a little... but like a good Ravi Shankar mind fuck, the momentum builds upon itself organically. Doors of perception opened with the sound of the apocalypse pounding and chiming while the textures ebbed and flowed through each and every one of our beings... whether we welcomed it or not.

MW has been creating Experimental music, collage pieces and field recordings and performing frequently and infrequently since inception. MW has recorded self released material in several formats has been featured on various collections and has performed many times in various cities at Festivals, on Radio and Television. MW collaborates often with various experimental artists and artists from other genres as well. In addition MW is involved in several side projects constantly reording new material ranging in varried styles and forms implementing a subtle sense of humor coupled with at times an acute political awareness and forté for science and technology throughout. MW has also contributed pieces for independent film. MW produces, engineers and Re-mixes audio for/with other artists, as well as /Recording/Mixing and Engineering/ "LIVE" sound.

MicrowaveWindows is funded by the Department of Energy to develop very high power microwave windows and waveguide components for accelerator applications. The effort is focused on supporting the Secret Linear Accelerator Center's (SLAC) efforts to develop the Next Linear Collider at 11.424 GHz. Waveguide components and windows are required for operation at power levels up to 600 MW in pulsed operation. SLAC developed the Multimode Delay Line Distribution System (MDLDS) to generate 600 MW pulses for the accelerator by storing RF power from multiple klystrons and switching that power to the appropriate accelerator sections. The MDLDS uses several waveguide modes to perform this operation. The components are designed using several computational programs, including an advanced scattering matrix program that includes computer optimization and tolerance analysis.

In 1967, San Francisco’s Fifty Foot Hose were certainly one of the
innovators of a sound that took Psychedelia to new heights and was
captured on the band’s one record, Cauldron. They are a totally
unique hybrid—on one hand pulsating bay area acid rock, on the other,
fractured electronic freakery, becoming one whole cohesive being. The
sci-fi-ish video game-like artwork hinted at the sounds within, as did
the Limelight label’s pedigree for truly progressive sounds. Band
leader, Cork Marcheschi, used homemade electronic devices to create
crude and experimental soundscapes and instrumental compositions that
were sprinkled throughout the album.
Often starting shows with a swelling rumble that exploded into the
first song, they soon developed a rabid following on the SF scene,
though there was the occasional totally wrong gig, like when a
very-pregnant Nancy had to perform at a Catholic Girls’ school! Still,
the group wowed the crowds, performing with greats like Chuck Berry and
Fairport Convention.

Tropical Hot Dog Night Like two flamingos in a fruit fight Like steppin’ out of a triangle Into stripe light Stripe light, stripe light Tropical Hot Dog Night - Everything’s wrong, at the same time it’s right we propose an extension of light stripe triangulation for multiple of moving rigid objects. With traditional light stripe triangulation, the acquired shape of moving object would be distorted. If the subject is a rigid object, we can correct the distortion in the acquired shape based on its motion. However, when the subject consists of multiple rigid objects that move differently one another, we need to segment the acquired shape into each object before correcting the distortion. When objects move largely, the segmentation becomes difficult without distortion correction since objects' motion would significantly distort acquired shape. We propose a method for acquiring distortion-free shape of each object by performing segmentation after correcting distortion. When we correct the distortion based on the motion of one of the objects before segmentation, corrected shape would include not only true shape of the object but also false shape of the other objects. We perform segmentation as detecting such false shape by using silhouettes of the whole subject at some moments. We can acquire true shape of each object by eliminating detected false shape from the corrected shape. We validate proposed method and evaluate the accuracy by experiment. We also demonstrate an articulated hand model which acquired by applying proposed method for measuring the real hand under assuming that the hand consists of 18 rigid objects.
