The Midway Orchestra was formed to audibly enhance the PURE Cirkus spectacle. This six member ensemble melds metal roots with orchestral instruments to create a sonic experience unlike anything heard before. Heavy brooding rhythms juxtaposed with bright melodic cirkus mayhem will pound you into submission and have you crawling back for more.
This Orchestra is comprised from a variety of Seattle musicians; many involved in other projects. Collectively the members' musical influences range from death metal, progressive rock, Latin jazz and classical.

After our set came the Midway Orchestra and their supporting troupe of Pure cirKus performers. Dressed in evil-clown grease paint, these maniacs did a set of metal songs accessorized with a tenor sax, clarinet, hand drums and didgeridoo. They opened with the famous circus theme: March of the Clowns and turned up the heat from there! Inspiring! What a concept! These folks are destined to go far. Look for them.
