Influences
Pretty much any and everything. Tenacious D, Ween, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Slayer, Emo, Led Zeppelin, Limozeen, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Metallica, Cannibal Corpse, Elvis Presley, Radiohead Sucks Sucks Sucks, Rush, Axle Rod, Grateful Dead, Eric Clapton, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Crosby Stills & Nash and sometimes even Young, The Pope, Cream, The Rutles
A two-man band sort of like Tenacious D. All songs are basically ad libbed and based around inside jokes. Crazy, done terribly, and almost enjoyable. Sort of 'signed' to the label Statue Records. Have had our debut album released by that label. Second album will most likely be self-produced, if it is ever finished. So yeah, frozen banana.
The time has come to take action against conglomerate monopoly in the entertainment industry. A letter is ready for you (or your American friends, if you are a citizen of a different country), to read, print, sign, and mail.
If you are a citizen of a different country, then we invite you to read and modify this letter; addressing and mailing it, to the proper authorities in your country or region.
American consumers who agree with this letter, should copy and paste its contents to a Word file; print it, sign and date it, and mail it to the Citizen Complaint Center of the U.S. Department of Justice - Antitrust Division (address is on the letter).
This department is responsible for investigating ALL suspected anticompetitive and exclusionary behavior in commerce. The more letters they receive, the more they will understand the severity of this issue. Let us fight peacefully, for positive changes in the entertainment industry. EQUAL RIGHTS for independent record labels worldwide.
Feel free to distribute this letter amongst your friends, family, and all independent record labels you know of; with ABSOLUTELY NO major label or conglomerate affiliation. If they agree with the letter, then they should also copy and paste it to a Word file, print it, sign and date it, and then mail to the proper authorities (depending on where they live).
WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER! CHANGE IS POSSIBLE! LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD!
The true independent music community has been marginalized into obscurity,
by exclusive agreements between major labels, big radio stations, and all others who require a major label affiliation; in order to gain access to market opportunities.
True independents are SMALL BUSINESSES, who have a right to grow and prosper in the World of Commerce.
We have a right to bring our products to market, and to fairly and ethically compete for market share, within our industry.
Competiton is a necessary thing in the World of Commerce; to block it, control it, deny it, refuse to deal, conspire against it, or even the ATTEMPT to do any of these things...is AGAINST FEDERAL LAW!
Antitrust laws were created 100 years ago, to protect this right.
However, these laws have failed to protect true independents; from the anticompetitive exclusionary behavior that comes from the exclusive agreements between entertainment industry Gatekeepers, and the Twin barriers of major labels and big radio.
A music revolution is on the Horizon. Those indies who stand up TOGETHER to fight for what is right, will be remembered as The Brave Ones, who weathered the storm; that brought about positive changes in our industry. The time is now for this change. CHANGE IS POSSIBLE.
We must act together as one Great Community; not as scattered and harmless individuals, across this beautiful World.
Change and success is possible, but it is not; as long as most of us just accept things the way they are.
"TO EVERYTHING...TURN, TURN, TURN...THERE IS A SEASON...TURN, TURN, TURN...AND A
TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE UNDER HEAVEN"
Just a note to let you know, that we're glad you are a friend of ours; and, to thank you for supporting independent music.
We recently released our second CD, River Cry For The Sky. Currently, it's available for sale on CDBaby; there you'll find samples of all the songs from our new CD. We would love to get your feedback! :)
Hi, I just thought I'd let you know yet again that you guys rock! I have just sat and listened to your album for the millionth time, (ok, maybe not a million times, but a lot of times), and I have come to the conclusion that you rock! in fact straight after listening to the album, I got a King Cobra to bite my wang, so I'm now wangless, but at least I still own a great album, lol!
