The Mighty Renegades were formed when 3 like minded rockers came together in the Fall of 2005 to stretch their collective musical chops: John "Freight Train" McKean on drums, Clay "Wall of Doom" Finley on guitars, and Ross "Hole" Sabolcik on Bass.
John and Ross had been gigging together for almost 10 years before teaming up with Clay after he strode into town from Big 'D' with a fresh burst of energy and a big 'ol wall of Marshall stacks. The musical vibe between the guys was instant and the collision of their eclectic tastes resulted in a unique combination of funk/rock, heavy blues, and classic rock favorites which doesn't take itself too seriously.
In 2008, they brought in Heather "H-bomb!" del Rio on vocals to light their fire.
We're talking cool rock from the past 4 decades: Rage Against the Machine, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Stone Temple Pilots, The Beatles, Living Colour, Kings X, Southern Culture on the Skids, Rush, ZZ Top, and that other Texas legend The Reverend Horton Heat.
Just a friendly reminder that we'll be playing Momo's this Saturday night! This isn't a show you want to miss. Our friends Darcy from Denton will be opening the night at 8pm... they're pretty amazing live, so you won't want to miss them. We're next at 9, with Amy Atchley, Joy Davis and Patrice Pike filling out the evening. The club is making an exception this week for those of you under the age of 18: you can get in to the show until 845. Anyone who gets there before can stay all night, but no one under 18 will be admitted agter 845, so get there early! Hope to see each and every one of you there!
Paperwork is coming back to the Red Eyed Fly next Thursday, Feb 19. This will be our last show for awhile... probably until SXSW... so you better be there! We play at 10.
Come support San Antonio METAL!!! My band NonXistence is playing the White Rabbit on Oct. 4th. We go on at 8:30 so be sure and get there early, bring friends, and tell them at the door you're there to see Non-X!!!

at any rate, Its an honor to have anyone notice and appreciate the mutton chops..They never quite go out of style do they? I am the envy of many when I tour the outskirts of Scotland.
