The Mighty Stars were four young scamps from Bristol, England whose music combined a brash raw energy with an intimate understanding of the intricacies of the three-minute pop nugget. Back in their day, the Stars were reknowned as the premier worldwide exponents and figureheads of the Garage Beatpunk sound!
The Stars toured the length and breadth of the English Isles in a 1963 Bedford Transit van. One infamous gig was the time they played the Dirty Water Club in London where they also backed Kim Fowley, the legendary self-styled shamen of rock n roll! Kim himself said of the Stars they were "godlike geniuses of dumb-ass rock 'n roll!"
The Stars even made it out to continental Europe for a swift whistletop tour of the lowlands of Holland, a trip that took in the Paradiso in Amsterdam, the Waterfront in Rotterdam and the Vera in Groningen.
January 1964 saw the release of an EP recorded especially for the Los Angeles-based Avebury Records. It was a regional hit in both LA and Somerset, England.

About Doktor Combover From their roots working the strip joints of Las Vegas, Doktor Combover perfected their raw and dirty instrumental sleaze, pumpin' out ass shakin' grooves for the topless dancers' filthy gyrations. Their reputation as the dirtiest and most notorious combo on the strip led to their acclaimed residency at Burlesque joint 'The Go-Go Cage'. Over-indulging in a downright salacious playboy lifestyle resulted in the boys being run out of town by mobsters after running up massive gambling debts. Frantically looking for a new home they chose to flee overseas to Liverpool in England, attracted to its NorthWestCoast scene, its sunny climate and the city's fine surfing action on its world famous River
If you like your drum kits Ludwig, your guitars Burns, and your amplifiers Vox AC30's, then The MASONICS are the band for you. This Medway beat-pop supergroup play prime garage-rock. …tis Elmer’s birthday too so come along & boogaloo!!

Playing live… The SAVAGEMYNDS Garage Punk Reverb Drenched Fuzz Fuelled Mayhem Hailin' from the south and foaming at the mouth their straight up sound makes for instant classics with screamin' vocals, solid bass lines, fender twang and backbeat thud.
