V for Vendetta, Watchmen, Dark Knight Returns, Sandman, Walking Dead, Invincible, Ultimates, Y the Last Man (most important book ever), New Avengers, DMZ, Ex Machina, almost every book Marvel is publishing some DC stuff been getting into the indy scene lately though.
**mind you these are all Original Graphic Novels or just straight up kick ass comic books!! dont get me wrong regular literature big word books are great too but im a guy who pretends not to live in the real world so my books are BETTER!!!!!!!!!
