"A really, really good band" - Grant Nicholas, Feeder
Formed in 2006, The Mile has gone through several personnel changes before settling on the current line-up. This line-up is the line-up that was always meant to be, bringing together some of the finest musicians around.
Untiring in their relentless quest to create music of the highest quality, it is therefore no wonder that the band are widely regarded as one of the most powerful and passionate acts on the live scene today.
The combination of finely crafted catchy songs, soaring lead guitar lines and a powerful, dynamic rhythm section leaves audiences truly spellbound as they witness one of the most energetic bands around. It is no wonder that The Mile have an extremely loyal following that is growing by the day.
The band's punchy sound led to them being voted into the top four of the 2008 Global Icon competition. As finalists, they were taken to Manchester for three days to be filmed for the televised final. Additionally, The Mile made it through to the final 54 out of 7,500 bands that entered the 2008 unsignedAct competition.
This is just the start. Join The Mile's many loyal fans and you too can say you were there at the beginning.

The Mile made it through to the final 54 out of 7,500 bands that entered the 2008 unsignedAct competition. This is the uncut live performance. Below is what the judges really said.
Global Icon
The Mile took part in the televised finals of the first ever Global Icon competition earlier this year.
If you want to skip through the other bands then the interview is at 10:02 with the performance at 19:01. Sorry about the sound quality but it was unfortunately out of our hands.
I don't know if you remember me, I think we met about a year ago when I did a gig at the Dog & Gun in Syston. I've just finished recording my first album 'Road To Freedom', which can be listened to and download at my myspace and www. reverbnation. com/andrewdunmore
I'd appreciate your feedback, by the way I like your music. Reminds me of the Foo Fighters, who are a fantastic band.
