There is no better feeling on the planet than having 4 humble souls join together as one in their unrelenting search to create something great and then actually coming close to achieving it.
This is what was felt when The Mile formed in the back of a local drinking whole in deepest darkest Leicester.
What went on to be created will surely soon have them competing along side the likes of Editors, U2 and The Foo's, but for the time being, at least, the band are untiring in their quest to find those out there that need the bands music, and unsurprisingly, this is a group that is growing rapidly. The music created by The Mile carries across most boundaries other bands come up against, something that becomes only too obvious if you were to go see this band live, you would find yourself in a room of people that seemingly have absolutely nothing in common, young, old, and every colour and persuasion you could think of all sharing in their love of the sound and experience that is The Mile.
This is a band on their way up and at the end of most gigs you will find followers exited about the fact that they were there at the beginning.
