About Milvus

Killing Joke, tuo varhaisen aikuisuuteni valonnäyttäjä, ei ole päästänyt minua otteestaan tähän ikäänkään mennessä. Aikaisempaan elämääni kiinteästi kuulunut Weschelschwein -niminen orkesteri syntyi post-punkin mainingeista, jossa erityisesti Killing Joke oli suuri vaikuttaja.

"Wesselit" heräsi uuteen eloon pari vuotta sitten, kun laulaja Ana ja meikäläinen alkoivat tehdä uusia biisejä etätyönä, vaikuttajina Killing Joke ja Ministry. Samalla alkoi tulla yhä ilmeisemmäksi, että jälkiä sylttytehtaalle ei kannata yrittääkään peitellä. Oli siis aika tehdä kunniaa Suurelle Vaikuttajalle muutaman biisin muodossa. Biisit on laulettu suomeksi, jotta jokainen voi vaikuttua Jaz Colemanin apokalyptisista sanoituksista.

Olen juuri saanut neljän biisin EP:n masteroitua, ja tuloksia voit kuunnella soittimestani.

Mitä seuraavaksi? Vielä on kunnianosoitus tekemättä toiselle Suurelle Vaikuttajalle, joka ylempänä mainitaan... We Go!!!

Milvus is the band without any other members than Milvus itself, at least in recording phase. Band (yes it is actually band) was established at 2005. The concept how Milvus operates is shamelessly borrowed from Mr. Reznor. When is comes time to get up on the stage there are five guys who form the band called Milvus.

Milvus’s music is, if it is necessary to categorize into genres, near so called industrial rock. Machine aesthetics go further than just making music with the help of machines. Machine aesthetics could been heard from the lyrics as well. The music Milvus makes is the end result of real guitars, basses, pianos and drum machines and other programming. The very idea is that you can play songs live.

THE SECOND THOUGHT was published at 2007 by Milvus’s own label, MilvusMusic.
