About me:

Hello, MySpace user, and welcome to my MySpace! My name is Thomas Ward, and I am a 25 year old voice actor, producer, podcaster, and musician from Williamson, West Virginia.

My career (or lack thereof) began in 2004, when I wrote and performed all of the music for the Mindweb album, "Objects of My Creation". This album featured 12 songs, including "Voices" (not a Disturbed cover), "Objects of My Creation", and "I Bleed".

I would return to music in 2005, when I would right the musically diverse and upbeat "Above All These Things". This album, much like "Objects" before it, featured 12 songs, including "Angel of My Dreams", "Above All These Things" (I am a sucker for title songs, if you can't tell), and "Voice of Jealousy".

Also in 2005, I discovered the art of podcasting through such popular podcasts as This Week in Tech and Diggnation. Utilizing what I knew in audio production, I created the "Late Night Tech Show" podcast, which ran from September 2005 - January 2006.

In 2006, I would, again, take a journey into podcasting with "TalkTech", which would only run for two months (April 2006 - May 2006). The shows cancellation, mostly, was due to a lack of interest in continuing to podcast. This would also be the reason that my next podcast, "My Geek Life", would only run for one episode.

In 2007, I began producing a live call-in talk show called Behind The Mic, in which I would interview voice actors and discuss their careers and other various topics. The show, much like the others, was canceled due to a lack of proper planning and a lack of guests. Fortunately, I was able to interview Unknown Hinson (of The Squidbillies), Erin Fitzgerald (of Ed, Edd, n Eddy), and Grey DeLisle (of The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy).

In late 2007, however, I would finally find my calling: animation! In November of that year, I would sit down and begin writing "The Mint Condition", an animated comedy about the everyday adventures of the employees at Papercut Comics, based on the comic book I had written (but never published) back in 2004.

The thing I am most proud of, however, is the work I have been doing as an "amateur environmentalist", in the form of Recycle This Blog, where I present environmentally-friendly news stories, editorials, and fun DIY recycling projects to the masses.

In November 2008, I decided to rejoin the podcasting community. This time, however, I decided that doing a live show would be the way to go. So, I began to produce Tech Daily, a live call-in and chat show, through the BlogTV Web site. Each episode covers a different tech-related topic, which ranges anywhere from online dating to Windows 7. The show is produced live every weekday, from 5pm to 7pm Eastern Standard Time.

After having that show fail to perform as expected, I decided to take a big step into the next generation of podcasting, which, little did I know, would bring me my greatest success to date: "The Mind of Ward". This time, I would use the video blog format to bring my knowledge and passion for online applications to the masses, through numerous video sites like YouTube and BlipTV. As of right now, "Mind" is one of the most popular shows on the Miro open source video player and is currently available in the iTunes Music Store.

Here a few things that people I've worked with have had to say about me:

"Thomas has a great ability to focus on a project and get everyone around him excited about it. He also knows how to give direction and get you into his head so that you can see the project the way that he does. Did I mention that he is hilarious too?" - Dana Ryan

"Thomas does a great job of communicating with the cast and crew, letting us know what's up and what's coming up. He's a great writer, very funny and just perfect for his job. He's also very encouraging and honest with feedback. I really enjoy working with Thomas." - Dustin Ebaugh

"Thomas is good at giving direction, communicating and sharing inspiration. He is up-front and knows how to multi-task with the best of them. His flexibility and ability to adapt an idea to overcome any hurdle is impressive.Thomas has a creative and talented mind as well as enough voices to fuel a fire. He is a pleasure to work with." - Jenna Holinsworth
