Mini Bio: Luke O'Reilly has toured and performed with Dave Valentine, Curtis Fuller, Red Halloway, Steve Turre and a host of other jazz heavies. He graduated from Temple University in '04 where he studied with Terrell Stafford and Tom Lawton. Ben O'Neill has recorded and toured extensively with Musiq Soulchild and Vivian Green and performed with Christina Aguilera and Erykah Badu among others. He Graduated from The University of the Arts in '04 where he studied with Pat Martino and Jimmy Bruno. The Mini Q's were formed in the fall of '04 and held a weekly Monday night gig at an upscale lounge in Olde City, Phila, for over 3 years. The debut album, Monday Night Jump! is available at cdbaby.com. The Q's pride themselves on their musically diverse sound which is rooted in the Blue Note groove recordings of the '60's and '70's. A quick listen to the album will reveal a great respect for the classic organ trios and a passion for soul, hip hop, funk and electronic music. They like to think of it as educated party music. Enjoy.
