The Mint Condition is the new animated comedy from the mind of producer/voice actor Thomas Ward (Podenstein) with animation by Juniar Vdaya, character designs by Ajoy Antony, storyboards by Genevieve Cote, and a highly talented voice cast featuring Josh Snyder, Brock Baker, Dana Ryan, Dustin Ebaugh, Jeanne Fishman, Brock Baker, Jenna Holinsworth, Louis Cassidy, Daniel Wright, and Jim McCabe.
Based upon the 2004 comic book of the same title, The Mint Condition tells the story of the employees of Papercut Comics, a small independent comic book label, and their everyday lives, which includes renegade home appliances, golden toilets, oversized arcade machines, workplace riots, movie references, hardcore video game rivalries, senseless violence, unexpected pregnancies, Ben Affleck, Japanese gurus, foul-mouthed droids, Mega Man, and the never-ending debate of how much movies follow the comics they are based on.
The series features a wide array of characters with an even wider range of personality. Among them are Elliot Mint, the geeky head writer of Papercut Comics; Gil Sullivan, Elliot’s childhood best friend and resident slacker; Kristin Cole, the hard-working and lovable accountant; Jonathan Nash, the brash and self-centered artist; Amanda Wynn, the ditzy and air-headed intern; Ben Mills, whose irresponsibility is rivaled only by that of Gil; Melanie Stone, the misunderstood and often ignored secretary; Dr. Jarrod Garcia, the helpful hippy; Traci Gray, the sexy and spunky assistant manager; and Tom Bossman, the ill-tempered boss who loves his money and hates slackers.
The series is (still) in the pre-production process and is currently slated for release in either late June or early July on such video-sharing sites as YouTube, IFC's MediaLab, Ziddio, Metacafe, Google Video, MySpace TV, Current.TV, and OurMedia.
