I'm often asked what type of man makes the best slave. Answers may vary Mistress to Mistress. I have chatted with, interviewed, and screened literally thousands upon thousands of applicants and offers for committed slavery. In my experience, it seems to be just three categories who actually take it far enough to enjoy the experience.

(1) Young Ones: I have had many good applicants in the 19-22 age range. Usually, the applicant is a college student who is away from home, or a homeless boy squandering off his friends. I'm guessing this type is missing mama and enduring a lack of sex with his new friends. These two ingredients provide for a nice playing field, but not long-term commitments. I must remind myself that boys this age will not last any longer than their schooling, and certainly ends when they finds a girl their own age who is willing to put out. These boys usually last about eighteen months to two years, then for lack of obedience (playing with others without my permission) they lose their collar and poly-home with me. But those first few months tend to be a wild ride while they are learning every kinky thing they can about women and sex.

(2) Transition Years: The best age range for a dedicated slave seems to be 27 to 35. I have had many applicants in this age range, and this is where I found my best and most dedicated slaves. Many of them have never been married before, some are divorced, and some are currently married with no desire to leave their wives (meaning they can only offer part-time occasional service). The best four slaves I've ever had were all 27 years old when they entered service with me. I know that's odd. They were all exactly the same age. It must mean something? One stayed four years then was released with my blessing to pursue a vanilla relationship, one who was married left at my command to improve things with his wife and because he was becoming too attached to me, another has been with me three years, and the last has been with me for seven years and has made a lifetime commitment to remain with me forever. So, I currently have the two male slaves serving me and living in my poly-communal home.

(3) Middle Age+: Most of my applicants are aged 50-65. About 10% are women and the rest are men. At this age, for males, sissy maids and trannies make excellent slaves provided they can bring a good skill to the household (like chef, mechanic, carpenter, etc.). And the women make good companions for home, travel and shopping. In this age range, I recently had one 50-year-old female submissive who has been with me for almost three years but was recently dismissed for lying to me, and two sissy maids (one cooks and cleans, the other tends to my personal grooming). The sissy maids are both 60-years-old. The female had made a lifetime commitment to me which did not last (but that tends to be typical with women), and the sissy maids are simply in training to be sold to another Mistress. Of course, the rule for training is: If a Mistress trains a slave for another person, she has choice to keep the slave or pass it on. Therefore, I may decide to keep one of the sissy maids after training is completed.

Contrary to some thoughts about slavery and Ds lifestyles, all slaves do not have to commit forever. Some offer several years, some offer only one year, while others look for lifetime arrangements. On occasion, I train slaves for other Mistresses and Masters. But, the standard lifestyle thought is "a true slave submits for a lifetime." But in the reality of relationships, who would want to continue their service if their feelings for the lifestyle (or their slave owner) have changed. In this day and age, we must be realistic about BDSM and Ds commitments. I seek a personal relationship with each of my slaves, and if I see their dedication is given to me and only me, I collar them. Anytime I feel that personal relationship has been compromised, lost or given to another -- well, the collar comes off as easy as it goes on. Once a slave loses a collar, he can never return to serve me. And as a Mistress with strong lifestyle morals and commitment, I only take on as many slaves to which I can give enough appropriate attention.

In addition: Being realistic about commitments, most Mistresses have their own set of morals and values where the lifestyle is concerned. Such as, I accept married men in service, provided the time they commit to me that does not take away from their own family. Traveling men qualify easily in this area. I do not, however, allow them to leave their family for me, change the amount of time they offer to me, or become dependent toward me. This is clearly stated from the beginning. If I see they are becoming too attached, or express thoughts of being with me more often or permanently, or talk about leaving their wives - then they are dismissed. If they have difficulty with their commitment to their family, then I see no reason why they would be able to offer commitment to me.

Sex is another issue. If my slaves are permitted sex with me, they have sex with me and me alone. If they cheat, they are dismissed forever. I do not excuse one time mistakes or any other reason for cheating. I do not allow eye wandering or any type of mental or physical flirting with another. If they are made to serve in chastity, breaking chastity is also grounds for dismissal. My personal slaves are never permitted sex with my other slaves. I have outside trade with other Mistresses for that, and I choose when and where it occurs. I am realistic about my slaves and their service to me ... they know the rules. Vanilla life is much simpler. So when they choose Mistress-slave, they choose my rules, my ways. Unlike vanilla relationships, I do not allow for second chances.

These are things to think about when you choose to serve a Mistress or make a full commitment to her.
