About me: Ah, trying to put your personality across in a short blurb. Don't you love the internet?
Yes!
At first glance, I'm very quiet and rather shy and most people would think I'm probably rather dull as I can still be prudish in many regards. However, I'm actually quite liberal and as long as you don't do anything that's harmful to others or the environment, I say, do what you want. Just try to be considerate, eh?
As a vocation, I'm one of the Tech nerds at a local lumber company but I'm actually quite creative and love most things artistic. I play the clarinet (quite well, when I stay in practice) I like to draw and paint (not very well, no matter how much I practice. My best work is a paint by numbers kit I got for Christmas). I like to write and I even have a few fans. I like to do web design as well, although I don't really have the knowledge necessary to make those flashy sites with all kinds of nifty features. My sites tend to be simple, easy to use and very organized.
Organization is a hobby of mine.
I'm big into animal welfare. I have always loved animals. When I was young, my favorite animal was the cat. Now, my favorite is the dog. Guess that shows how my personality has changed. I still love cats and we have one named Audrey who's at least 13 years old now, although most vets think she's younger because she's still so lively and healthy. Our dog is named China (and she has her own webpage) who is my 'heart' dog and I hope she lives so long she ends up in the Guiness Book for longevity.
I'm a huge film buff, even more so after meeting my husband who has expanded my horizons in every front, especially in film-viewing. I used to be quite the snob, comparitively, but now I can enjoy the worst C pictures as well as the top A pictures. I love all dramas, but my favorites are the kind with some kind of supernatural or quirky element. A straight drama or comedy has to have something really good going for it to get me interested.
If, for some wacky off-the-wall reason I had to choose only one film genre to watch for the rest of my life, I would choose musicals. Musicals can be funny, dramatic, strange, fantastic - they can be anything - and there's usually a pretty good song to sing along with. Besides, I have to have my Fred Astaire fix every few weeks or I go into withdrawal.
Hmmm, but that would mean I would never see a Michael J. Fox film ever again. Crikey!
Who I'd like to meet: Michael J. Fox, Bruce Campbell, Ted Raimi, Kyle MacLachlan, Joss Whedon, James Marsters, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling, Nicholas Brenden, Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion and of course, George W. Bush - so's I can get in one good bitch-slap.
yes Maddie is super quick...I'm going to have to get in shape to keep up with her.
are you guys doing anything special for halloween/wedding anniversary this year? one of my coworkers had his anniversary on halloween (they divorced...). He said it was pretty popular in the 60s/70s
