The band started in 1954 after the boys all met whist working at a local warehouse in Montgomery loading trucks. they came together due to the strong intrest in Hillbilly tunes. With the shortage of a fiddle and steel guitar and the increasing change in music the Montgomery Music Makers went with the tide and made do with just the three instruments and then alongside others discovered the hard hitting sound of Rockabilly music. The song Buning the wind was inspiered by Bill Hendersons love of Hot Rod racing. As for Dry Run that song was dedicated to all the young men who flew and saw action in WW2 that never made it home to see the future of the music that they had left but is in special memory of the crew who flew on board the B24 Liberator Dry Run which was later downed on July 15 1944 at Ploestie...
