Our story begins in 1985 in Newhaven, East Sussex, with an argument between Peter French and Ian Marchant about the relative merits of reggae and country music. Unable to agree, they formed a band with eight people from the same cul-de-sac. 22 years later, they are still arguing, and have lost all but one of the friends; guitarist Rikki Patton who has put up with the bickering and lengthy periods of inactivity for all that time. Having played with dozens of wonderful musicians over the years, two others deserve mention; Katherine Wood, who was our singer for five amazing years, and who sings back-up on 'When She Comes', and Ian Dicken, engineer, patient man, bass player and vocal arranger extra-ordinaire.
Hello to The Mood Index Continuum...arrived here via the exquisite 'Parallel Lines' (albeit there was some delay between the two) and rather like the sounds in this spot.
Hi Ian. Long time since I saw the mighty Your Dad at the Stonecroft (my sorely missed 'Local'). Always remembered fondly. Those were the days....half naked ramblers at your beckoning call! LOL. Good to see you are still rocking the Cats Bar. Cheers. Mike
