   About the moors
Originally formed in 1989, The Moors began as "The Other's". The founding members include Ken Cree (lead guitar/lead/backing vox), Brenda Carol MacDonald (lead/backing vox/percussion) and James Burrell (rhythm guitar/lead/backing vox/bass). This trio gained recognition for their incredibly-blended harmonies and haunting melodies. Later the band added bassist, Beverly Ross and German drummer Tom Katz. Together this band performed to capacity filled venues across Toronto including Sneaky Dee's Uptown, The El Mocambo, The Cabana Room and the Spadina Hotel.

Harmonizing over renditions of "Public Square" by the Rheostatics, "Apeman" by The Kinks, REM's, "Superman", The Waterboy's, "Fisherman's Blues", and Nancy Sinatra's, "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'", The Moors performed alongside, well known singer/songwriter/band(s): Ron Sexsmith, The Pale Criminal, The Spirit Drummers, and Twilight Ritual.

The Moors now include Ken Cree on lead guitar and lead/backing vox, Brenda Carol on lead/backing vox and percussion, Chris Burrell on drums and percussion and occasionally Stephen Gardner on keyboards. Performing and recording mostly original material, the band is presently re-recording some old and new songs!
