The Moot are a 2 piece female band from Huddersfield in West Yorkshire
The Moot play covers and original songs and are available to hire for any Occasions: Corporate Events, Birthdays, Weddings, Civil Partnership Ceremonies, Parties, House Parties, Music Workshops and all other events.
We cover a wide range of styles from 60's to present day. Our original music is influenced by reggae, ska, pop, soul and funk and is guaranteed to get everyone dancing or tapping their toes.
We have played at many different types of event including weddings, birthday parties, parties and funerals. Pubs, clubs, festivals, live music venues and the streets have been some of our public stages since August 2005. The Moot also played live on the BBC as part of BBC Upstaged and have supported The Blockheads, The Beat and Hayseed Dixie. The Moot also have experience in running music workshops.
The Moot do not use backing tracks or clicks and play everything live. We can play any type of event acoustic, electric and if you are short of space and worried about sound we can use our electric bass drum and play a semi acoustic set.

The Moot Provide a 1k Mackie Pa System and have access to a full lighting rig and engineer for extra cost. We also have 1 or 2 Crew Members dependant upon circumstance.
The Moot would like to be provided with free soft drinks for 3 or 4 people. We will arrive apporximately 1 hour before performance to set up equipment and sound check unless otherwise agreed. If you have a car park please reserve us a space to park our van. If not can you please inform us before the gig where we can park. If we have to travel any distance The Moot and Crew would appreciate some food before the gig.
There is a 50% cancellation fee after bookings are made and 100% cancellation fee if after 14 days before performance. In the unlikely circumstances that The Moot deem the venue unsafe or unfit they reserve the right not to perform.
