The Motel Life began in 2007 in the city Ontario, California. The band spawned from the breakup of several local bands that buckled under the pressure of pop music. Discouraged by their failures of their previous bands, the members of The Motel Life took a different path with their new project; drawing from their influence of bands that span across many genres, The Motel Life came together with a desire to create music more mature than their earlier efforts. Consisting of Michael Escanuelas on vocals, Judcody Limon on guitar, Nick Camacho on drums, Anthony Lujan on bass, and Al Hernandez on second guitar, The Motel Life have been playing shows ranging from their local area to neighboring states and plan to play several more shows throughout the west coast to promote their most recent recording “We All Left Something Behind.”

"Take a dash of The Get Up Kids, the raw yet delicate nature of As Tall As Lions, throw in some I Am The Movie-era Motion City Soundtrack and a tight emo-sound full of pop hooks and tempo changes. Add all that together, and you have yourself the young California foursome on the verge of becoming a future threat on the indie rock scene." -absolutepunk.net "The potential that seeps out and that is evident, shines right through the roughness and makes this band worthy of checking out and keeping on your radar." -thealbumproject.net "We All Left Something Behind" is a pleasant and enjoyable EP. It showcases a band with mature heads on their shoulder and can write good songs and play tightly." - alterthepress.com "Laced with compelling sentiment, craftsmanship and unprecedented sincerity, The Motel Life have found camaraderie and chemistry upon the release of their first album many would call envious." -WSBUFM 88.3 The Buzz "[The Motel Life] is brimming with the hope and promise of a fulfilling music future, signaled via first-class musical accommodations, sparkling productions and a maturity that pervades every riff, chorus and hook." -Waleed Rashidi - IE Weekly "We All Left Something Behind is understandably in the middle ground between where [the motel life] came from and where they are moving towards. Their sound is definitely more grown up than the other similar bands on the scene right now, but still maintains a certain youthful vitality." -thepunksite.com "Overall, it's a must buy EP for the emo fan. Even those not particularly inclined to the genre should give it a go. This is a good EP and the band promise to be a group worth keeping your eye on as the quality of music produced is of a very high standard already." -puregrainaudio.com
