......The Moth Lantern...... The Moth Lantern is changing..... New singer Jason is taking our songs to a whole new level, check out Comfort and keep an ear out for more... Pete Donaldson from absolute Radio says: Comfort So sweet on this track it ain't even funny. A terrifically understated voice, a track that could easily have been written by Alligator-era The National. A tonic. ......The Moth Lantern...... The Moth Lantern is changing..... Pete Donaldson from absolute Radio says: Comfort So sweet on this track it ain't even funny. A terrifically understated voice, a track that could easily have been written by Alligator-era The National. A tonic. "Downbeat but gloriously wonderful acoustic pop with a cinematic edge, The Moth Lantern are a beguiling proposition." - ..Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 1.... .."Quirky, moody yet tuneful and with chord changes to prick the ear at every turn" - ..Stuart Maconie, BBC Radio 2.... .."Great stuff, we like these!" - ..Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music.... ..'Out of Touch' - This is a really good, quirky, original sound. Love the song, the choice of instruments, the vocal - everything. If this came on the radio I'd turn it up. Can't fault it - my kind of music. 'The Weight' - Likewise - another great track. 'Black shapes' - The female singer gets a more prominent spot on this one. Like it. Lots of changes, you never know whats coming next.Feet are tapping. 'End of summer' - Very apt, I think we may have a couple of days left! Another good song with your own style. When reviewing tracks from unsigned artists on myspace, invariably comparisons are made with signed acts. I honestly can't make any such comparisons with your music -it is obviously derivative to some extent,a bit 60's, some 70's, some folk, some pop, but it has a big chunk of your own unique style. Enjoyed the listen enourmously. .. - The Monobandits ...... ....Available from The Moth Lantern:.... ..Black Shapes (EP 2008).. ..The Light That Broke The Waves (album 2007).. ..Send a message for details of how to get a copy.. "THE MOTH LANTERN were exceptional - surely the best vocal harmonies I've heard anybody locally based do in many moons. The lead singer's voice has a touch of the John Cale's and the bloke from Gomez also sprang to mind too. I really do think they have serious chance of going on to bigger things, they've got class." - ..Kevin Hewick, Leicester's Half Time Orange .... "Falling a bit outside of the Sheffield remit, Retford based singer / songwriter Dan Clark is excused plainly on the basis that the songs here are just too good to ignore. Pre-dominantly acoustic in nature it is impossible not to draw comparisons to Nick Drake and, more recently, Matthew Jay, the prodigiously talented Nottingham singer who died tragically last year. It is on the delicate title track where he best demonstrates his potential but each song on this EP has something which marks Clark out as one to watch." - ..The Light That Broke The Waves review by joel rigler, Sandman Magazine .. .... .... .... -

IMAGINE THE FEELING OF KNOWING YOU "MADE IT" IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY How would that change your life? Or the life of those around you? I'll let you know a secret; one of the main reasons main stream artist's are so successful is they have a great marketing team on their side. That's why you sometimes see "unknown" artist's with way more talent remain an unknown. They don't have a good marketing team working for them.
