The 'Motion' Project is Northern Ireland's multi-cultural music collective that has had representation of artists from 23 countries. The Motion Project tour around N. Ireland providing unique world music interactive experiences, programs and performances.
The reason;
The Motion Project aim to address racism, sectarianism and other discrimination issues in Northern Ireland by showing how our individuality can produce something far more attractive and unique when we work together. Motion provides people with the opportunity to hear and play music from around the world and to meet others from different cultural backgrounds.
Some of the countries/regions so far represented in the Motion Project are: Poland, China, South Africa, Ireland, Venezuela, India, England, New Zealand, Slovakia, Zimbabwe, Scotland, Sri-Lanka, Mexico, Hong Kong, Ghana, France, Columbia, Switzerland, Germany, and of course N.Ireland.

What are iME's…
interactive music experiences developed out of music workshops. The Motion Project felt the 'workshop' term did not define one of their full music sessions. Even though education elements are primary objectives they are presented in a way that has been described by past participants as an 'experience'. Fully interactive, energy driven, all participants will be playing an instrument, singing, shouting & dancing. No-one escapes!
iME's have been popular with all ages, but they have worked best in youth enviroments, eg schools.
One teacher commented, 'i have seen kids smile today that have not smiled all year'.

We've opened the forum again cause a few people have been saying it would add a bit more community to the site, please use it so it doesn't get closed again!
We've made a minor change to how gigs are added to the site, the lineup section is now a single text area instead of individual text boxes for each act, a small change but it makes adding gigs a lot quicker cause you can copy and paste the lineup from elsewhere :)
