About The Mourning Voices

In early 2008, three Detroit songwriters came together to form The Mourning Voices. Melding an indie-americana sound with a pop sensibility, they set out to write earnest melodies layered with warm harmonies.
Members Ian Lee Lamb, Anthony Retka and Doug Woolsey trade off a unique vocal styling for an ensemble that at times sounds more like country or barbershop than nightclub music.
Since forming, The Mourning Voices continue to carve out an audience with unforgettable live performances and an increasing repertoire of original songs while working on their forthcoming EP "Good Morning".
