Luis Bunuel (surrealist), Federico Fellini (actors play roles to music that will later be added), Ang Lee (predictably unpredictable), Richard Kelley (first film = cult classic)

I happen to think my music is the most awesome collection in the world. I love Guster. When it comes to bands, they're number one. I also love Fleetwood Mac, The Profits (my city band) Frou Frou, Matt Pond PA, Halloween Alaska, Coldplay (though Chris Martin can be uber-annoying), Keane, Nirvana, The Clash, Garbage (my other city band), U2 and Iron & Wine. Singers are Joseph Arthur, Imogen Heap (adding on to Frou Frou), Sting and Damien Rice. I also think that most of the music on The OC is AWESOME, so much that I already knew every single song on Mix 1 long before it came out. I really loved all the '80s music used on Donnie Darko, which had Tears for Fears, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Church, INXS, Duran Duran, and Gary Jules (though he isn't '80s). My music is considered alternative, for the most part. To me, it is life-changing, and that's what counts.
Running down my DVD shelf? Okay: Donnie Darko, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Run Lola Run, Brokeback Mountain, Capote,Napoleon Dynamite, Saved!, Harry Potter 1-4, The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, X-Men, X2, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Batman Begins, Sin City Recut & Unrated, all 3 Lord of the Rings special extended addition, The OC seasons 1 & 2, LOST season 1, and 21 Jump Street season 1. Installments I am hoping for in the near future are Harold & Kumar go to White Castle, and My So-Called Life season 1. These don't even scratch the surface of all the movies I know and love, but it gives you an idea of what I enjoy.
The OC, LOST, THE COLBERT REPORT!!! Jon Stewart is the close runner-up. Degrassi, for SURE. Marco is my favorite character. Semma is my favorite couple. Would be Darco, but Dylan can be a dick, you know... I'm a huge fan of the Colbert/Sedaris/Dinello trio...Strangers With Candy, Exit 57, Wigfield (thought that's a book)...all that great stuff. My So-Called Life, I love that show!!! It's been off the air for over a decade, but it's still wonderful, still painfully truthful. How can one not love it?
I love Harry Potter. Call me completely lame, or say that Harry Potter is a pimp, but I'll love him either way. My two favorite authors are Truman Capote and John Steinbeck. Truman Capote fascinates me to no end. And in seventh grade, I read near every book John Steinbeck ever wrote - The Grapes of Wrath, Of Mice and Men, The Red Pony, The Pearl, Tortilla Flat, Cannery Row, Sweet Thursday, To a God Unknown, and Travels with Charley. I think that the only ones I never read were The Moon is Down and East of Eden. I enjoyed every one I read incredibly. To Kill a Mockingbird is my favorite book. Ever. I've read it a million times. And I read In Cold Blood this year. Now there's a great book. Capote was a genius...no wonder that book made him so famous. I enjoyed Animal Farm a lot, too. I think that Chuck Klosterman is another fantastic writer. He is hilarious and sarcastic. And nothing catches my interest better than a good conversation on pop culture.
Wigfield!! Ya, the Colbert/Dinello/Sedaris trio wrote it. And it's AWESOME. Believe it.
Heroes
My mom is my hero. She is incredible. I respect what she says and does. She is the one person I can think of that I would love to be like.
If we're talking about fictional characters, I would definitely love to be like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Her selflessness and courage and gift with animals is incredible.
Who I'd like to meet: Truman Capote. If I could travel back in time, I would go to Holcomb, Kansas in 1959 and talk with Truman Capote, as well as Harper Lee, as they researched the Clutter murders. Capote was the most fascinating character - he was intrigued by people, though very self-centered. He was very out of the ordinary - only 5'4", with a very high voice, an outgoing personality, and openly gay in the '50s. Yet he was the most famous author in the world after In Cold Blood was published. I find it unfair that he had to die in 1984 - I missed him by seven years. It breaks my heart that I can never know him.

Your scenes are quite entertaining, but have you ever considered a more dramatic story? You seem to be very bright, and you've got lots of daring; but try turning your creative energies to a larger plot with a couple more characters.
