Yet, it is a wide-spread practice across denominations that worship is but a small portion of our reasons for gathering, a prelude to something considered as the highlight of the meetings: men and women speaking from the Word of God, of things they barely comprehend. Have we not all experienced worship times that were extended, and where the fervour reached a depth and richness that transformed us. Yet, someone would come on stage and interrupt this holy moment in order to proceed with the order of the meeting, which in fact means that there would be announcements, an offering would be taken and then the pastor would preach, or do his or her thing. And the presence of God withdraws.(unless the whole worship experience is Spirit led)Then the river flows smoothly...
We are left in a state of shock, needing time to recompose ourselves in order to half-heartedly follow the direction the meeting had taken Too often, the only noticeable anointing left in the room is the fervent devotion of worshippers still intent on meeting God, and receive from Him.
One thing that has been very strong on my heart for some time now, is the need for a demarcation regarding some of the soaking movement doctrines and practices. We simply offer anointed music for people to find rest, comfort and purpose in quietness before God. And the multitude of testimonies received from many of you, attest to the fact that God indeed meets those who diligently seek Him.
Soaking is a very simple thing to do, and I dont see the need to sell mountains of books and CDs, or invite people to travel across the globe to just tell them how to soak. Its a no-brainer, really. Simply put, we bless all who take time to rest in the Lord and allow Him to touch them through the ministry of anointed musicians. Freely. Sadly, we see leaders packaging a precious revelation and turn profits in. I cant help but think
Know that I AM the One who has given you these gifts, talents to be able to touch the inner most parts of men's souls..To allow my music(all that is contained within the notes, melodies,words,pitch, rhythm , tone, voulme)to act as an agent of the Holy Spirit..Go my Bride and continue to be used by the Holy Spirit to touch where most Words can not reach..jim ..o/
Thank you for the unpretentious vessel that you all were in ushering in the Lord’s bride and His praises at the mission's conference. Just like how He told us ahead of time, He literally split the heaven’s and showered us with His Presence and lightning’s. Never second guess that So many lives will be changed for an eternity because of your devoted service and relentless passion for His renown.
