Bands with Guitars. Guitars with Bands. 10 Hour drives from Scotland to Portsmouth. Hire Car Companies. Getting to a venue and the promoter actually knowing who we are!
Loads of Bands. Probably every band we ever heard. Even the rubbish ones.
People who care. They make us care in return.
Zines. Interesting Packaging. Really bad journos. Noise. Feedback. Pedals.

'Luckily The Muscle Club are here to lift my gloom. They started out as a jangly, spikey, Johnny Foreigner-esque indie band back in the day but seem to be growing into a different beast. The band sound 22% fuzzier this evening and 31% more beefy' THE JOY COLLECTIVE
'The guitar work may be reminiscent of a certain band called The Smiths, this isn’t a band that revels in its own misery. They are energetic with a certain assurance that wouldn’t sound out of place at a Cribs gig' Artrocker Magazine
"Spiky, pumped up riffage and sneering tunesmithery... Energy in abundance, The Muscle Club boast a rippling guitar pop sound... Potential to reach beyond their own back gardens, they could just be the next big thing from Cardiff to burst through the walls of the mainstream music scene" God is in the TV Zine
"So it sounds like a place where Arnie is ID'd since turning soft and letting his pecks sag, but Wales' The Muscle Club are in fact resurrecting spiky art pop pretty bloody well" Loud & Quiet Magazine
"Things began to look far less bleak when perky indie types The Muscle Club stepped up, inspiring grins-a-plenty with their bashful on-stage banter and catchy little ditties" Kruger Magazine
About Muscle Club - Last Few Shows of the Year Ahead...
Helloo! We are The Muscle Club. 4 guys who met in Cardiff in early 2008. We have been lucky enough to do a whole bunch of stuff that we never thought we would have when we started out... Played with bands that we have loved and idolized, met a whole load of super nice people right up and down the UK, recorded 2 BBC live sessions courtesy of Bethan Elfyn (one was even at MAIDA VALE!) and released a few of records, t-shirts and stuff...
This band has allowed us to play shows up in Scotland and right down to Southampton and Portsmouth, for that we are hugely appreciative. You should come see us when we're out and about; that means we can eat on tour. We book shows ourselves, which doesn't always make for the best tour schedule but it does account for a rather yummy warm feeling in Ceri's Belly as he drives three and a half thousand miles in just under two weeks.
Our Mini-Album/EP is now out there in the ether... I don't know if it's in shops as I thought the general consensus now was internet worship or bust but you can DEFINITELY get it at our merch store which we run and operate ourselves so if you are waiting a little longer than say if you bought it off Amazon then I apologise. We will endeavor to get it to you as quick as possible.
thats probably enough babbling for now... there's a bunch of videos that we or others have made and filmed... check them out... Matt and Jordan are our in house StevenSpielberg and Waltdisney

well. you know what they say. practise makes perfect. perfect is a fault. and fault lines change.
no but seriously we have been practisin. as much fun as it is to quote ambiguous lyrics about the flaws or perfection, we do need at least to be able to play our songs. so yes we have been practising.
pretty excited now. have no idea what to expect. will be fun im sure tho...
