The concept behind "Elektrisches Descent”, was started by me, Shazib Malik
(The Storm) from way back in 1996. With the help of extremely talented individuals
I have been able to create a team of artists pushing forward global electronic music
and other forms of art such as poetry and digital photography via the Internet.
The name of our band is inspired by an album by the group Kraftwerk called
Ralph & Florian and a track called “Elektrisches Roulette”. We are also
known as ElekD.
This site has evolved with time and has been inspired by the music instrument
by the name of the Roland TB-303
I am obsessed with this instrument and have been ever since the 1980s. When
I
first heard it in the 1980s on Phuture's "Acid Trax" it made my mind and body
turn to jelly. It was the first time I really wanted to analyse music and find out what
was making that sound!
