Christopher Hydinger {synth keyboard, voice, lyrics} Christopher 'Space' Howe {acoustic guitar, effects} Samuel Yoder {drums, percussion}
Influences
Those magnificently chaotic moments in between blinks {that's "life" for all you metaphor-challenged folks, bless your hearts}.
Sounds Like
Esoterically... bronze snowflakes, large and misshapen, blooming from the pungent bosom of autumn clouds gingerly crushing the things that happen to be paused underneath while the whistle and ping of middleground trains, rectangular and browned, cruise by on peasant-woven wool railroad tracks.
Conceptually... a mirror of the underlying ethos of Nature.
Critically... free jazz meets experimental indie meets folk meets ambient meets minimalist downtempo with gospel-inspired vocals.

Formed in 2003 as a solo singer/songwriter project by Christopher Hydinger featuring acoustic guitar and voice.
Theater artist Kate Kraay was added in 2004 as a way for Hydinger to more fully realize his interest in visual storytelling and in pushing the traditional singer/songwriter presentation into a more all encompassing audience experience.
Christopher 'Space' Howe was added in 2007 and took over as the acoustic guitarist while Hydinger transitioned to synth keyboard.
Drummer and percussionist Samuel Yoder was added in 2009.
Hydinger and Howe have been friends since 1995 having founded the band Abstract while both were living in Norfolk, VA. The band also featured cello and drums.
Hydinger and Yoder first met in 2006 while both were working as professional landscapers/gardeners for the same company in Seattle, WA.

One final thought...
The vitality of a city is determined in part by how well it supports its artists, musicians, and artisans. Please consider the impact you could make by committing to being an outspoken advocate for an individual or group you believe to be relevant and attention worthy. Together we can enrich our communities and our lives by allowing them to become vibrantly infused with the wonderful talents of these people we all call our neighbors, friends, and family. From artists, musicians, and artisans everywhere, thank you kindly for your support.
pidgeonsandpencils is an amazing song. It is a warm blanket on a frigid night, stuck in the middle of a frozen lake with nothing but many hours of darkness until the sun again warms your dusty bones.
