Lorne James is a singer/songwriter who began his music career in the mid 1990's, after being personally struck by a major tragedy in his life. Following the devastating loss of his wife, best friend and childhood sweetheart to an untimely death, Lorne then turned to writing and composing beautiful, heartfelt, emotional, love ballads to cope with the hardships he now faced. Eventually, his songs reached the hearts of an ever growing band of appreciative listeners, who have now become the sole motivation behind Lorne's drive to continue bringing forth his unique brand of original music. His meaningful love songs are written and performed from a very sensitive but masculine perspective on love, life and loss and have often been said to offer much comfort and hope to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one, whether it be through a breakup, divorce or even death itself. Yet, his music is very positive, honest and always hopeful for the future. He loves to share his music with others because as many of Lorne's loyal listeners have expressed, his music has helped them to recover from their own personal tragedies and challenges in life. After highly placing in noteworthy song competitions such as the "Billboard Magazine Song Contest" and various widely known broadcast television talent shows, Lorne conscientiously withdrew from the public music forum, due to his personal and religious conviction on matters that remain close to his heart. He professes no desire to pursue the commercialization of his music and to this very day maintains complete creative control of all his musical endeavors. He does however, find great joy in sharing his music with others and has continued delighting the hearts of his loyal listeners through the more intimate means of personal and private performances of his original heartfelt musical compositions. Lorne has appreciated the countless messages and comments that he receives from people just like you, who have stumbled across his heartfelt music and have been moved to express their appreciation by personally writing to him.
