Starting August 26th 2007, The Music Row Show broadcasts LIVE from Nashville’s Music Row every Sunday from 7pm-9pm and is heard in 28 states and 3 countries. Each week, hosts Scott Southworth and Heino bring you the latest in music industry news and behind the scenes looks into how the music business works. They’ll feature exclusive interviews with industry movers and shakers such A&R executives, artists, publishers, pro-songwriters, studios, A-list musicians, and other features designed to help listeners better understand the business.
The Music Row Show's focus is to help folks negotiate the waters of Music Row without sinking. There’s no “One” way to guaranteed success in the music business, but there are certainly plenty of steps that can lead you in the right (or wrong) direction.
The format is: One hour spent with someone from the biz end (publishing,
A&R, artist management, legal, etc). This time is spent giving some education on their piece of the puzzle, then taking calls from our listeners. We’ll cover everything from marketing yourself for management and audiences, making a demo, and answering questions like when do you need a lawyer, what’s a PRO, how to pitch a song…etc.
The second hour is spent with an established writer or recording artist telling their story (how they got started, brick walls they ran into, pitfalls they avoided, etc.), playing a song or three live, and taking calls.

Hello Music Row Show, I love your mission of helpin' songwriters that are trying to get in doors and find out the hard way that it doesn't work that way, "Nashvilles Been Waiting For You To Show Up" because all your friends back home tell you that every song you write is a hit. I love this show because it shows them how this business works and rule # 1 is have thick skin and never, ever act as if you know what that publisher or record company guy wants and always remember hearing no is only the start so simply say thank you for your time and by the way don't take up time but shake a hand and go fix the song or pitch it elsewhere and when you leave THANK THEM for the 3 and a half minutes to listen. Rule 2 WATCH THE MUSIC ROW SHOW no matter how long you've been at this because this business is always changing and this show keeps you up to date. Sorry, I have people ask me all the time how to get into a door and I tell them to watch your show. WOW I better stop I've wrote more on this comment than I was going to, PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB "THE MUSIC ROW SHOW" and all you folks working at it just keep on keeping on. TJ
