Le influenze musicali dei Narrow Pass sono una miscela dei gusti dei suoi componenti.
Valeria Caucino, da sempre amante ed ottima interprete di Joan Baez, annovera tra i suoi gusti musicali la musica celtica ed acustica in generale.
Mauro Montobbio ha un background piu' progressive e rock in generale (Santana-PFM-Genesis-Pink Floyd-Marillion-Camel-Gentle Giant ecc...).
Il progetto Narrow Pass prende forma agli inizi degli anni '80 per opera del chitarrista Mauro Montobbio. Vengono composti alcuni brani e svariati spezzoni musicali che rimarranno inediti fino alla pubblicazione dell'album "A Room of Fairy Queen's" , avvenuta a Giugno del 2006 con l'etichetta Progressive francese Musea. Nel 1992 Mauro sostituisce Alessandro Serri alla chitarra nel gruppo genovese "Eris Pluvia" e suona con il gruppo in varie date in Italia e in Francia , prima dello scioglimento del gruppo stesso.
E' grazie agli Eris Pluvia che Mauro conosce Valeria Caucino , singer proveniente da Biella , molto conosciuta nell'ambiente Folk e Celtico. Dopo la pubblicazione del CD ed i positivi riscontri , Mauro e Valeria decidono di proseguire e consolidare la loro collaborazione nel progetto Narrow Pass , che diventa cosi' un duo con l'importante contributo di diversi amici artisti.

Narrow Pass project take its roots from an original idea of guitarist Mauro Montobbio in early 80' . Various pieces of music were composed but they didn't see the light until 2006 when old and new material was rearranged to build up the album "A Room of Fairy Queen's ,published by Prog Rock French label Musea in June 2006.
In 1992 Mauro replaced guitarist Alessandro Serri in the Italian Prog Band "Eris Pluvia" , joining the band in various concerts in Italy and in France.
Thanks to Eris Pluvia Mauro met Valeria Caucino , well-known female singer/guitarist in the Folk/Acoustic/Celtic ring. Valeria voice proved to be essential in the success of the CD so a closer collaboration became inevitable.
