Hikes without Mics is an event usually held on the first Sunday of the month (but always check the calendar as that may change). Locations vary but generally involve a mild 1-4 mile (roundtrip) hike to a "Natural Stage" where a concert occurs. Some concerts will include a mix of short folk, jazz, classical, experimental, etc. sets by various performers.
Reminders:
* Wear your hiking boots or sneakers.
* Carpool! Some of the parks charge a parking fee per car (typically $5).
* Bring a picnic & LOTS of water (and please take note of the alcohol policy in the blog section).
* Bring an instrument if you'd like. We often start and/or end each show with a round robin set where straggler performers can play a song of their own, or join in on other's songs.
* Take care of the land, someday you'll be a part of it!
Who I'd like to meet: Musicians with portable acoustic instruments (voice, violin, flute, banjo, etc.) and hikers!
Send us your email address if you'd like to get an email reminder for our events (we only send these out once a month - so don't worry.)

We're getting closer to reaching one of our Earth Day goals:
We would like to raise $1,000 to be put towards our summer programming. So far we have raised $315 from over 100 MySpace friends.
If just 15% of our MySpace friends donated $1 we would exceed our goal. What is one dollar? Spare change for you, but the ability to purchase REAL CHANGE for us! A donation can be made through PayPal on our MySpace profile. Click the donation button.
