Influences
From Ken Negligent:
I'm influenced mainly by peer pressure. Peer pressure and talk radio. Peer pressure lets me know what I'm doing is totally cool and talk radio makes me feel smart. Everyone loves smart, cool people. My influences totally rule, you know it and that is very important to me.
Matt and I (ken) started the Negligents in 1997 with a guitar, a bass and a 4-track. Pretty visceral stuff in the beginning. Then Mike "Satchy" Sacharski (Butt Nuggett) joined in on guitar and Nathan Jerde (The Mushuganas, The Ponys) played drums. Nathan left to play with The Mushuganas and The Ponys and Satchy moved over to drums. The Negligents were now established as a three-piece. After many rock-filled years, Satchy left to start a family. Many drummers came and went through the next few years. Chad Romanski (Sarge, MirrorAmerica, The Dials), Dave Wade (Rhoda, Tokyo Expando), Bob Rising (Poster Children, Bob Rising and the Blisters, Seam), Doug Meis (The Dials, Exo). All were excellent and Matt and I were honored to get to play with each of them. Finally, after a year or so of rotating drummers, The Negligents hooked up with "The Captain." He went and got hitched after a few years of playing and decided to settle down as well. Now Caleb has jumped on the drummer carousel for a few spins around the city. We like him very much. But enough about us...

We just got off a Time Machine from the 1980's Chicago Punk Scene. We have a reunion show to do Sat. Dec. 29th at the Lucky Gator Loft at 1278 N. Milwaukee Ave. Can you point us in the right direction?
Glad I finally caught up with y'all. I see you've already scheduled your triumphant return to Cal's! And with the Teenage Imposters! I'm going to have to bring extra socks because you are going to rock them off. Yay.
