Leszek (Lez) Karski Lez Karski's myspace
Born 1950 in Worcester U.K. of Polish parents. Attended U.S. army high school in Munich, Germany where Lez first heard and started to play, rhythm & blues music.
Returning to ‘swinging’ London in the mid 60’s, he continued a mixture of music & art, watching Peter Green and Clapton,
studying at Ealing Art College and playing the blues at night.
Music eventually dominated, and he found himself touring Europe with a Liverpool funk
outfit ‘Supercharge’ bringing him to Australia in the late 70’s with a 1 hit record ‘Get Up & Dance’.
Sydney in the 80’s found Lez as a singer/guitarist and songwriter/record producer, working with Flash & The Pan, Midnight Oil, Spy v Spy, The Triffids, Yothu Yindi, Jeff Lang and many others, whilst playing the blues with The Hippos, Bondi Cigars,and The Foreday Riders.
Ace Follington
Ace's work over the years on drums needs little introduction, his grooves have layed a foundation for the likes of: Jon English, Richard Clapton, Bondi Cigars, The Hippo's, Earl King, Jeff St John,Chain, Omar and the Howlers, Dave Hole, Harmonica Shah, Kenny (Blues Boss) Wayne, Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges, Chris Cain and the late great Johnnie Johnson.
Roy Daniel
Roy and Ace lock together like supa glue to the wandering fingers. Roy's 6-string bass has underpinned the likes of: Dave Hole, Harmonica Shah, Omar and the Howlers, Fatty Lumpkin, Kenny (Blues Boss) Wayne, Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges, Chris Cain and Johnnie Johnson.
They've performed nationally as the late great Johnny Johnson's band, playing the Narooma and East Coast Blues festivals and appearing on the ‘Live at the Basement’ TV special. They were Chris Cain's band at the Narooma festival two years running, and Kenny 'Blues Boss' Wayne's backing band. They've played at the Bridgetown Blues Festival and have just returned from a successful European tour of Holland, Germany & Poland, where they represented Australia at the prestigious Wroclaw 'Guitar City' 1st of May 'Thanks Jimi' festival, helping to beat the Guinness Book of Records for the number of guitarists playing a Hendrix classic!
Their brand of Blues is solid, intelligent and impassioned, and their performances feature original Australian blues and scorching guitar driven classics, all executed in the unique Investors way.
These guys have been around and done the miles. A classic three piece at its raw best!
