   About the new freedom

Classic widescreen melody that will inspire you.

Falling between coldplay, razorlight, crowded house and keane, the new freedom effortlessly combines elements of pop, rock and soul to create an epic and international sound.

The bands debut album was released internationally during 2008 - fans are able to listen to tracks off the album and purchase either a download version or physical CD via our good friends at

and Amplifier and The New Freedom - A Thousand Nights

The album entitled 'A Thousand Nights' was produced in NZ by Marshall Smith and Tom Fox for The Sound Room and was mixed and mastered by US producer Ed Goldfarb (KD Lang, Morcheba, Boys II Men).

The New Freedom were awarded NZ On Air funding for the first single off the album 'What I Need' - the video for which is viewable here.

The New Freedom are:

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.
