Hailing from Ann Arbor Michigan the indie/folk pop group The New Green consists of Ben Kessler, Brian Goodwin, Dan Piccolo, and occasionally we are graced by the wonderful Kate and Samantha Cooper, Derek Harrington sits in on bass as well as founder and song writer Steven Clausnitzer. Their melodic compositions, compelling lyrics and dense arrangements have drawn comparisons to Wilco and Belle & Sebastian. Their debut Album “Easily Made, Easily Broken”, Recorded with Jim Roll at Backseat Studios in Ann Arbor, takes the listener on a sonic journey through the often discouraging but always hopeful evolution of young love.
