Well it all started about five years ago in a sleepy little Chicago suburb called Algonquin. Mike and Rusty were playing in a band and needed a new drummer when suddenly, the fabric of space/time itself started to tear and out of nothing but raw ether, this form coalesced and turned into what you now know as Ryan. It was pretty strange to say the least but he turned out to be a pretty good drummer so he was allowed to stay. Ever since they have been doing their darndest to write music that is fun. Lately, the band has been seen expanding and contracting in public, as necessity dictates, to include singers/dancers, horn players, keyboards, additional instruments of a percussive nature and yes, even more katars. The New Ledge Band has recently been sighted at several Carbondale bars, pubs, saloons, taverns, speakeasies, watering holes and burlesque houses of ill repute. If you see these people be prepared to be elated, confused, angry, drunk, surprised, pulled in and taken aback all at the same time. In other words, it’ll be FUN! And don’t forget your surfboard!
MAN! I was riding my bicycle today. It happens to look like Pee-Wee's bike, but whatever. Someone hit me! Man. Knocked me right on my bum. I am a little beat up right now. My clavicle hurts.
I really can't think of anything to say and I can't tell jokes well, so I'll just say...
hello
I'm bored and trying to sing, but feel frozen.
That's very awkward.
Sound Tapestry is interested in finding avenues of expression in 2008. I would love to perform at any show, party, art opening, festival, or other event in the southern Illinois or St. Louis area, starting in Jan 2008. I would be honored to perform with other groups, such as yours, and look forward to spreading creative and positive vibes. Please message me here at MySpace or curtwilson618@gmail.com at any time.
Hope you guys play out soon, I would like to catch one of your shows again. If you have played out and I've just missed it, then you can smack me around with a large trout.
Check out "Dance of the Electrons", on my MySpace profile. A freshly recorded improv loop from last night in my new home studio.
