"A collection of ramshackle weirdos commandeers the stage. This, if I'm not mistaken, is The New Minority. They look like a fairly random bunch. There's a distinct absence of any overall 'band image' here: a punk guitarist, a scientist bassist, and a garage rocker drummer wearing an MC5 T-shirt. Well, bearing in mind how the drummer with Bordello sported a T-shirt which hinted accurately at the musical direction of the band, that seems promising to me. I don't know if New Minority kick out the jams, but they certainly kick arse. They generate a crazed, gonzoid rumpus, firing smashed-up bits of guitar noise in all directions, with assorted bursts of yelling and screeching over the top. It's an anti-rock 'n' roll racket, all tangents and collisions and barely-formed sort-of songs. I'm not entirely sure how much of this wilfully chaotic experimentalism is intentional, and how much is simply due to the band's love of making a Bloody Great Racket in a public place, but in a loony kind of way, it works. The bassist glances left and right in a quizzical manner, as if he's not quite sure what's going to happen next, while his colleague on guitar gets increasingly frenzied by the minute. There's a sudden incursion into the audience, and a swift poll to decide which cover song the band should play. It's between the Dead Kennedys' 'California Uber Alles' and Link Wray's 'Let's Get Ready To Rumble'. I'm holding out for the Link Wray tune, but the Kennedys get it, and, shortly thereafter, so do we - right between the eyes. The verdict on New Minority? Ah, lovely chaps. Mad as goats, mind."

just so you are informed . my brother eric( who is only 26) was in a bad car crash yeaterday at about 7:30 . we were called by the hospital and we were informed that he was hit head on by an suv . he is the only injured person . he now has a removed spleen, fractured pelvis , punctured lungs , broken ribs and his colon and his bladded were diced up and thats the injuries we KNOW about .he will have to be on a colostonmy bag for 9 months and a cathader for about a month . he wont be able to walk for a while.. he was in surgery this morning to stop his internal bleeding and it was sucessfull but he is in bad shape . if you know my brother then please pray to whoever you belive inthat he survives . the doc says hes got a 90% chance of recovery but a long way through rehab and hell probably be in critical condition till next week . till then im trying to visit at the hospital every day .

so i went to see jello speak at the church one day, and the show is postponed acouple hours and then a couple more and then cancelled. so while im there waiting this girl gives me a cd, and says check it out, iput it in my pocket and forget about it and drive back to jersey, the next day i play it and really like it (it has'nt left my car since) but i havnt got a chance to see them yet now i see abuliten about last show fdr 2pm. i'm hoping it starts at 2 and your not playing til later. so what time do you play cus i wanna come out but will never make it by 2. any way iloved the cd
aw shit, i just got you're bulletin. now i'm in the sad place. on another note, since we don't have a van secured, is it possible to borrow someones bass amp and cab for FDR? we're traveling ford escort style :(
