The New Root is a female-fronted alternative rock band based in Bristol and regularly touring the UK. Bristol’s Venue Magazine described them as, “…purveyors of an extraordinary sound that we can only describe as a sort of power pop/goth/rock opera hybrid that crashes ever forwards like it's on its way to save the last polar bear from a fragment of iceberg…like a Depeche Mode/Tori Amos wrestling match…the most exhilarating thing we’ve heard all week.” EP's 'Sick of Me' and 'Dream Exile' have received rave reviews and 2000 CD's have been given away free during the band’s UK tours.
