The New Tyme Sisters light up the stage with a spunky, funky mix of rhythmic energetic fiddle, banjo and dulcet voices. Sisters Emerald and Eden, both U.S. National Fiddle Champions and natives of the Boston area, appear to have been channeled any sibling rivalry most agreeably into making delightful music. Emerald is an alumni of Berklee College of Music (Film Scoring) and of the University of Glasgow (Musicology).
As a solo fiddler and singer she has released her debut album, Contemplaytion, and won numerous awards, such as the U.S. National Fiddle Championship. Eden Forman is a current Berklee student and also a U.S. National Fiddle Champion, and a talented singer and banjo player. They have recently been joined by the inventive folk cellist, vocalist and banjo player, Emma Beaton from Vancouver Island, who has been decribed as "a little red-headed Nina Simone". Whether keepin' it real with traditional renditions of Appalachian tunes or branching out with contemporary string arrangements, the New Tyme Sisters are sure to entertain.
