anyone who took a deep breath and did the right thing rather than the easy thing
About me: I'm amazed by how much human potential we squander every day. Did you ever hear anyone say "oh you should have asked, I wouldn't have minded doing that"? Did you ever come across a kid who needed a grandma or an old lady who needed a grandchild? Did you ever throw away a half eaten sandwich? Or feel good coz you helped someone out?
I've created this space to find ways we can connect better to help each other out more. It can be an easy thing - giving someone a lift coz you're going their way - or a bigger thing - spending some time helping on a project overseas. It doesn't matter. What matters is that we connect for the better. Look at how much money the airlines have collected from those loose change envelops. That money wouldn't have done anyone any good. Might have clattered around in a drawer for a few years, then got binned when you moved house - and sworn at when you forgot to take it with you on your next trip to the that country! Now it is helping someone.
So if you want to help, then join in. It's a human thing.
Who I'd like to meet: Volunteers
People who would consider volunteering, people with something to share - a skill, some cash, some time, a spare room, a computer, a lawn mower...
Charities who need volunteers
People who like doing things with other people
