The Nice Guise are two Atlanta emcees (Catalyst and Ty-vicious) whose lyrics combine poignant, thought-provoking content with witty entertainment. More than just your average rappers, The Nice Guise have a one-of-a-kind style that is tastefully reminiscent of that classic 90's hip hop sound. Backed by some of the best under-the-radar production coming out of the south, The Nice Guise are part of a reminder that hip hop is alive and well in the region. Catalyst and Ty-vicious met in late 2008 and immediately began writing and recording songs together, and performing at small shows and house parties. In early 2009, they started performing with Atlanta funk band Newberry Jam, organizing arrangements regularly consisting of 10 members. After less than a year, Catalyst and Ty-vicious formed The Nice Guise, releasing their self-titled, debut album in the summer of 2009. The Nice Guise have shared the stage with national acts including Count Bass D, J-Live, John Robinson, Camp Lo, and C-Rayz Walz. and local artists such as Clan Destined, Binkis Recs, Señor Kaos, Arablak, and Dillon Maurer.
