The Nightlifers from Baltimore, Maryland have been held together by mutual respect and hatred for each other. In early 2003, Dan and John started practicing together in John's basement, where they wrote HonkyTonk Friday Night. After practicing off and on for two months, Dan had friend Eddie MacIntosh, singer from The Boom Boom Cats, sit in on lead guitar. It sounded pretty damn good so they started playing out. After a few shows, Eddie decided that this wasn't the direction he wanted to go in.
Later, at a show in Federal Hill, long time friend and musician Jimmy Swope liked what he saw. After the show, Jimmy told Dan, "You know what you guys are missin'? ME!" A few weeks went by and in a drunken haze, all three blew the roof off a local pub on an open mic night. Right then and there they knew that they had a winning combination. Since that night, The Nightlifers have been rippin it up wherever they go.
In November of 2006, Rock Baker, long time freind of the band has taken Jimmy Swope's place as Lead Guitarist.
